Our software ideally will be dynamic and allow psychologists to create new tests using our software. But, we are starting with creating an interface for the subjective contour illusion test as requested by our client.
A subjective contour illusion tests for visual agnosia. Visual agnosia is the inability for a person to recognize familiar objects and/or faces despite the absence of damage to the eye. The cause of this condition can be damage in the right hemisphere of the brain. Specifically the temporal and/or occipital lobe.
The test shows pictures to the subject and asks them what shape they see (in a later posting, you will see examples of these images that we have created). Patients with this disorder are unable to identify incomplete pictures.
